Hey y'all!

I'm not even sure what i'm here to write about, but i'm just going to let ideas flow through my mind as my fingers run around this keyboard.

I'm having a bad day, not even a bad bad day, just one of THOSE days. You get me? Yeah, you get me.

I started off my day going so sleepy to work. Oh, a little side not, for those of you who don't know, I work at starbucks! I won't say which one because some of you sneakies might try to get some free drinks!

Okay, back to my day.

I get to work, and they throw me on register. I'm hardly ever on register, and today I figured out why.

I DON'T GET TIPS!!!! I think it's safe for me to say that I think i'm a pretty friendly person, there's just something about customers that can't keep my smile alive. So i'm a little dissapointed that I can't be friendly enough to my customers because I looooooove to talk and laugh with people, and there is my perfect opportunity, I just can't seem to get it right!

With that being said, if you ever some to my starbucks and see me on register, please... skip your coffee and proceed to the next store.

Haha, I am totttttalllllly kidding! It's something I have to work on, so I'm here to set this goal, to be friendlier and smile with ALLLLLL of my customers! :) So stop by... anytime... I mean it... kinda. ;)

Enough w my boring day, here's some exciting news.

During my school years, I never imagined myself getting a college degree. Yes, I know, that's so hard to admit, but school has never been my passion. Even while people around me in high school were taking their SAT's and filling out applications for schools, I never even thought about taking those steps.

Even though I would LOVE to get a degree in journalism and study what i'm passionate about, I always knew it would never happen for me.

I tried going to MT. SAC community college, just because it seemed like the right thing to do, but I dropped out right away. My mindset has always been that I would just have to work hard and create opportunities with jobs that would help me have a better future for my family.

I am so excited to say that I will be going back to school to get my degree!!!! In journalism!!!!!

I am serious crying tears of joy, because that just sounds crazy to me. I have the opportunity to earn my degree through arizona state university online! I am so thankful. It sounds so silly but I get the butterflies thinking about it. My dad has always told me, "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

With that, I'm ready to reach my goals, and I am nothing less than excited to see the path journalism will lead me to. This is what I love you guys...I love, love, love to write.

And just by writing this little blog entry about my silly bad day, it's already turned around because i'm doing what I love.

I'm not going to go back and read through this entry for mistakes, because i'll be doing much of that in college now! ;) hehe.
