Broken Vessels

You know those songs... when you hear the instruments starting and begin to hear the lyrics play, all of a sudden your world stops and your heart feels like its going to explode?

THIS is my song.

I was introduced to this song two years ago, even then it was a touching song, but it ministered to my heart the way it has in this moment.

Please, listen to the entire song, I am sure you will enjoy it. Here are just parts of an amazing song that has guided me and will continue to guide me in the way I live and love.

Most of us know these words from Amazing Grace, "I once was lost, but now I am found, was blind but now I see." I believe these words to wrap up my testimony perfectly. Before knowing Gods love I was lost, I was blinded by things that I thought could have been love. God has opened my eyes and showed his love in ways I never imagined. Not only have I experienced it in my own life, but to see others experience this as well touches my heart.

"Oh I can see you now, I can see the love in your eyes."

I see God, I feel him, his presence is so real to me. As my relationship grows I see God in more and more places. I see him when the sun rises in the morning and when the moon shines at night. I see him when I see the love he has restored within my family. I see him when I see my little sisters wake up for church in the morning ready to serve him with their full hearts. Anywhere I see him I can imagine the look of love in his eyes. I cannot wait for the day I see his eyes. Wow.

"So take this heart Lord, i'll be your vessel, the world to see your love in me."

You guyssssssss, this is my heart in one full sentence! If it could be a daily routine for me to scream this at the top of my lungs every single day, actually...I can do this, I can scream this at the top of my lungs, i might do this... RIGHT NOW.

Giving my heart to the Lord is the best decision I have ever made in my life. In my prayers I offer my heart to him daily and nothing has ever felt more right.

"I'll be your vessel..." I want God to do his work in me. I want to serve him and serve others through him. When people see "my" good works, I hope that they would know it is not mine and it is his.

"the world to see your love in me..." and this part is for you guys, my friends, and anyone who i have ever made a connection with. I hope that my words, my actions, everything in my life is joyful, happy and full of love. I hope that when people see me, or hear me they would know...that girl has God in her heart. I pray every day that the world would see Gods love in myself. And if I haven't lived up to that in the past. I will learn from it, because this is my hearts truest desire.

So this, broken vessels... is my song. This is the song that makes my world stop and makes my heart grow ten times for Gods love. This has taught me more about myself and the woman of God my heart desires to be.
