i'm going going back to back to college college! ;)
hiiiiiiiiii my friends!
My mom laughs at me because I call anyone I come in contact with my friend.
The girl who is always on register at Rite-Aid, she's my friend. She doesn't know my name, but we're still friends. So really, i'm so popular because I have friends everywhere ;).
Anyways, I can't believe it's already December. Time FLIIIIIIIES!
I have some great news to share with you, my friends, today.
I started my first day of college yesterday!!!! So exciting right!
If you keep up with my blog you will know that college, school, anything that involves learning from a book, is just NOT FOR ME.
And in my last post, I promised I would push myself to go back to school, and i'm proud to say I did.
It's a community christian college which is even more exciting for me, it'll make the process a little smoother being surrounded by God-loving people, like myself.
As excited as I am, I'm more nervous than anything. I've never taken school seriously and after not being involved for two years it's going to be a tough adjustment for myself.
Last night was my first class, art history and I LOVE the way it was taught. My professor made it clear that although we'll be studying different artists, GOD is the greatest artist, uh DUHHHH! His beauty is every where and i'm glad I am in a school where I can say that freely!
This class is going to help me learn more about myself and go in depth about my faith, that's the most exciting part for me. I love to express myself in such a deep way and learn about others in that way as well.
My goal for right now is to major in journalism. I love to write you guys. It is my true passion. If I haven't written in a while I get this tingly feeling, I would compare it to like a spidy sense, but for writing. Even before I log into my account to come write here I get the butterflies because I love it so much. I cannot picture myself letting go of this dream I have. At the same time I've learned that following my heart may not be what God's plans are for me, so things may change in the next couple of years, we shall see!
Just by taking my art class I was moved to become an artist last night, it's so silly, but it happens to me all the time.
This is just a quick post to update you guys. I know a lot of people were saying they were happy for me to be going back to school and I SO much appreciate that! I feel like through this blog i've been able to connect with so many people, all my "friends" and I thank you guys for saying you're happy for me. I promise it really makes me smile!
By the way, I jokingly said I was going to Harvard! I'm not sure if anyone fell for that, if you did, thank you for thinking i'm capable ;). One of my closest friends called me after I said I was going to Harvard, I guess she thought I was serious, it's okay she has her moments.
I will continue to come here and share my heart about anything that people may relate to, for that has always been my desire and purpose. This is my journey and i'm going to take anyone who reads along with me!
This is a side note totally off topic, but I've been going back and forth thinking about adding a comment section on my blog and i've decided to just keep it the way it is. A lot of people reach out to me through my social media, and message me, so far it's been working fine that way. I hope you know that if you ever need a friend or someone to listen or even grab a scoop of ice cream with, i'd love to be that person. I love connecting with people and sharing stories, it's one of my favorite things. Everyone is different and unique, but i've found it to be so beautiful that we are somehow all able to connect on a deeper level. So please, always keep in mind that I want to try my best to be an outlet for anyone and meet needs. You can always message me and we can exchange numbers. I will always get back to you and keep you in my prayers. Even if you aren't going through anything, and you're just like me and like to talk to people and make "friends", we can always do that too! :))
I'm very happy and excited to be starting something new and taking a big step in a different direction.
Until next time!<3
